Venture Marine would like to welcome two new Sales Representatives to the team. Captain Chris Arutt is a native South Florida resident with over 20 years experience in the boating industry. His experience includes many years selling new Jupiter boats, sportfish and large outboard brokerage, and most recently selling new boats for Intrepid. Chris is well known in the Ft. Lauderdale area as the "go to" guy for large outboard tenders and has assisted many mega yacht owners and captains with their tender setup's over the years. Chris will be based out of the Broward and Dade County area. Karl Dyle is a familiar name around northern Palm Beach County. He has is a 20 year resident of Jupiter, FL and in the local marine industry. Karl purchased Hull #5 from Venture in 1995 and has logged thousands of miles in Ventures from the Great Lakes to the Southern Bahamas. Karl is the exclusive Maverick, Hewes and Pathfinder dealer for Palm Beach County and operates Bob Schneider Lures, a custom lure and outfitting shop locally here in Lake Park. Welcome Chris and Karl to the Venture family!

Team InsufishentFunds are big fans of bluefin jigging up in the Northeast. They have had several successful trips this past month with catching a total of 24 bluefin and the seas being anywhere from 4 to 7ft. On their first trip one of their fish weighed in at 80lbs. They started off in 3 to 5ft seas and ended up running home in 5 to 7ft. “At 30 knots the boat never came out of the water or slammed. Everyday that Venture 39’ impresses me beyond my expectations," said owner Dave Schunke.
Their next big trip was a 3:30am departure that got them to the fishing grounds at 5:30am and within two drops they were hooked up. That day they were 20 for 26 in four hours. Once again Schunke and his crew were impressed by the boat. “We fished seven guys all morning without a tangle.”
In addition to the bluefin, they also did well in the 2009 Monster Shark Tournament releasing 6 makos and a 600lb tiger shark. With another 42 blue sharks, some of which were close to 400 lbs they headed back to the docks bypassing the other boats who were struggling in the 10ft seas. What a great month Team InsufishentFunds had on their 39’ Venture.
